Brass Parks is a new company formed by Chris Brassington and James Henry Parker dedicated to creating
fresh, exciting, devised material that always provides
challenging theatrical experiences - theatre designed both to stimulate and question audience and performer alike.
They also take their experimental devising techniques to the wider community.

MR MOJO, MUM and ME


Brass Parks presents this stunning one-man play.
Douglas lives in a dreary Northern town with his emotionally draining mother. But he’s off to America to become a star like his dad, the “rock god” Jim Morrison.




Chris uses rapid character changes, a few masks and little bit of guitar to convey this moving story.

THE COMPANY:

CHRIS BRASSINGTON

Chris attended the Desmond Jones School of Mime and Physical Theatre, the Poor School and Central School of Speech and Drama. He is a director of London Drama and leads drama workshops for practitioners.



He is sometimes remembered for being the big-nosed one in Ben Benison's stage adaptation of Pinochio and for getting slagged off by a prostitute in the BAFTA award winning BBC series Cops.

Working with the Japanese performance-art group 'Grinder-man'

GRINDER-MAN is an art performance group that creates audacious happenings combining contemporary art and continuous motion in locations ranging from art museums and galleries to concert halls and clubs. Performers wear a “Go Head Parallel” cube on their head in locations such as abandoned shipyards or shopping arcades. The anonymity gained by wearing boxes on their heads creates a clear dividing line between performers and audience so that the audience may be guided to chaos. They perform wildly on top of containers or other objects.

JAMES HENRY PARKER

James Henry Parker.

He is regularly seen on film, television and stage.
He has a long history in both acting and stand-up comedy.
